Netflix now allows users to remove content from the 'Continue Watching' list: How it works

NEW YORK: We've all started something on Netflix that we never finish, and Netflix uses their 'Continue Watching' feature to make sure we don't forget about the shows we've begun. However, with so much stuff, it's not surprising that people don't complete everything they start. And for shows like that, users can now remove content from their 'Continue Watching' list, Netflix has confirmed. The feature was previously only available on the company's mobile app and website, and is now available on television as well. People can watch a vast variety of stuff on Netflix. Users can simply rediscover an old favourite or discover something completely new thanks to a collection of series and movies.

To remove a show or movie, simply choose the offending card in the list and scroll down to the new 'Remove from Continue Watching' option.

Netflix's web, mobile, and TV apps all have the feature now. To remove a show or movie, simply choose the offending card in the list and scroll down to the new 'Remove from Continue Watching' option. The featureIf you unintentionally delete anything you wanted to view, clicking it a second time will instantly undo the deletion.

Of course, the ability had been long asked for by users and Netflix acknowledged that in its blog post. It linked back to a tweet by a Netflix user asking for an ability to remove content from certain lists. Though the user had asked for a remove option across suggestions and other lists too, Netflix has started out well on the course, by focusing on the most important list first.

While the update isn't the most important update to Netflix's user interface, the Continue Watching list plays a crucial role in the site's design as it is one of the first things users see when they open Netflix on any device. Giving everyone a little more control and choice over what appears on that list is a great addition.

Separately,
Netflix recently announced partnership
with Montreal-based video game consulting agency RocketRide Games to deliver "quality games" to its mobile gaming platform.
